A Congolese American entrepreneur with roots in Kasai and Kasai-Central, currently based in Philadelphia. He founded Optimist Coffee Traders, the only U.S.-based coffee importer dedicated exclusively to sourcing and promoting coffee from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Jim is also the co-founder of Congolese Diaspora Impact Strategies (CDIS), an organization committed to building connections within the Congolese diaspora and advancing initiatives that strengthen the socio-economic capital of Congolese communities worldwide
